Lockscreens

After I found out how to programmatically change the desktop wallpaper, I was curious to do the same for the lockscreen.

The default cave and lake lockscreens can be found here: C:\Windows\Web\Screen

One must make a distinction between:

• default lock screen
• user lock screen

Default lock screen can be set here in the registry:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\Personalization

• create a new string value LockScreenImage
• set its value data to the full path of the desired image
