The folder can't be moved here

I wanted to link "Documents" to "H:\OneDrive", but inadvertently linked it to "H:\OneDrive\Documents", and then wanted to correct my error. However, I always got this annoying message "The folder can't be moved here".

Solution: Error “The folder can’t be moved here” for Documents and Pictures Folders, Caused by OneDrive » Winhelponline
  • !OneDrive > Help & Settings > Settings
  • Backup tab
  • Manage backup button
  • Stop backup for Documents
Then I was able to move/relink "Documents" to "H:\OneDrive".

OneDrive: access denied on some files

On some files in OneDrive, I got this annoying "Access Denied" message.

Solution: Fix OneDrive Access Denied error in Windows 10 (thegeekpage.com) (Solution 3)

Become the owner of OneDrive.
  • rightclick !OneDrive in the File Explorer and choose Properties
  • click on the Security tab
  • click on the Advanced button
  • on top, if the owner is a GUID instead of a real name, click the Change button next to it
  • type (part of) your name and click the Check Names button
  • click on the OK button
  • check the Replace owner on subcontainers and objects checkbox
  • click OK and wait…
Now you'll have access to all your files.
